Hello, I’m Caroline, a copywriter and a content creator with a difference. A trained journalist, I spent the first 15 years of my working life in corporate communications. Through a string of client- and agency-side roles, I was lucky enough to work with some of the UK’s best known financial, corporate and consumer brands while making the most of life in the Big Smoke.
After climbing the career ladder, I found that most of my day-to-day time was spent managing crises and people. Writing had become something I did at the side of my desk, but writing is what I do, so I worked out of hours to create all manner of copy for all sorts of people, with surprisingly few redrafts.
I soon realised that getting work published is much more gratifying than trying to keep a story out of the papers. And my kitbag of marketing and communications experience turned out to be an asset in teasing out the gems that drive a business and honing these into clever copy that would make that firm stand out. So, I became a freelance copywriter.
A few years on, and I have written hundreds of thousands of words of engaging copy and content for small, medium and large businesses. From websites and digital content, brochures and conversational marketing collateral, through to executive speeches and industry white papers, I create compelling communications that speak to a brand and make its audience take note.
